End Users Designing Medical Technology Controls

(March 2003)

During 2003 and 2004, the Ozlab technique will be used for developing methods for how doctors and nurses can participate in the design of the user interface of medcial technology. The pictures below show a robot that is used for positioning for ortopedic operations. The Ozlab system makes it easy to discuss different graphical and interactive features of the user interface.

.

This robot is being developed by Medical Robotics. In a more extensive project (MTiV) also other companies with other kinds of health care technology are included. Below, Mats Fridh of Medical Robotics ponders the instruments that guide the ortopedics when they interpret X-ray pictures and drills to fasten broken bones.
